Leonja Finkiel was enrolled at the University for World Trade in the winter semester of 1937/38 and the summer semester of 1938. In mid-June 1938, she was able to take parts of the First (general) examination but did not apparently receive any certificate. At the end of the same month, the Jewish student was deregistered from the university. On July 17, 1938, she registered for Łódź and left her apartment at Nußdorferstraße 60/2/7 (9th district of Vienna). After that, her trail goes cold.
