Hédy Bruck was the daughter of Alexander Bruck (lumber dealer). After obtaining her high school diploma at the gymnasium of her hometown Pécs, she enrolled at the University for World Trade. Here, she attended the diploma program in the winter semester of 1937/38.

As a Jew, she had to abandon her studies after the 'Anschluss' of Austria in March 1938. She lived in Vienna at Praterstraße 22/14 (2nd district). Her further fate is unknown.
