Kurt König was the son of Josef König and Paula or Pauline König, née Weil.

He was enrolled at the University for World Trade for six semesters between the winter semester 1935/36 and the summer semester 1938. Although he was not far from completing his studies, the Jewish student was unable to take the final exam. His last examination, the mandatory colloquium after the fourth semester, took place in January 1938. The 'Anschluss' of Austria in March 1938 made it impossible to complete his studies.

During his studies, Kurt König lived at Obere Donaustraße 1/1/9 (2nd district of Vienna). On November 1, 1938, he registered for emigration to Palestine. His further fate is unknown.
