Kurt Kramer was enrolled at the University for World Trade for three semesters between the winter semester 1936/37 and the winter semester 1937/38. In February 1938, he could take the First (general) examination. With the 'Anschluss' of Austria, the Jewish student had to leave the university. His further fate is unknown.

During his studies, he lived with his father, the merchant Leo Kramer, at Albertgasse 26/11 (8th district of Vienna). His father passed away on October 1, 1938, in Vienna. Three days later, he was buried at the New Israelite Cemetery of the Vienna Central Cemetery (Gate 4) - well over a month before the National Socialists destroyed the ceremonial buildings there during the 'Reichspogromnacht' (November 9/10, 1938).
