Leo Alexander Posner was the son of Moses Posner (merchant). From three trimesters at the Faculty of Law of the University of Krakow, one semester was credited to him at the University for World Trade. Here he was enrolled for four semesters between the winter semester of 1936/37 and the summer semester of 1938. He was among the few Jewish students who were allowed to take exams after the 'Anschluss' of Austria: In May and June 1938, he completed the compulsory colloquia after the fourth semester. During his studies, he lived at Taborstraße 28/20, and between mid-May and mid-June 1938 at Krummbaumgasse 2/1/1/12a (both addresses in the 2nd district of Vienna). After the exams of the summer semester 1938, he returned to Kattowitz. His further fate is unknown.
