Lewi was enrolled at the University for World Trade for three semesters between the winter semester 1936/37 and the winter semester 1937/38. He was deregistered as a Jewish student on March 17, 1938, just a few days after the Wehrmacht's invasion of Austria. The work he presented for the First (general) examination was discarded. He did not receive a certificate of departure.

He deregistered his apartment at Pramergasse 21/1/10 (9th district of Vienna) on March 21, 1938. He then returned to Poland. His further fate is unknown.
