In her hometown Zawiercie, Aniela Lerner attended the Humanistic Gymnasium Helena Malczewska. She was enrolled at the University for World Trade in the winter semester of 1937/38 and the summer semester of 1938. In mid-June 1938, the Jewish student was able to take parts of the First (general) examination, but did not receive a certificate for it. She was deregistered on June 27, 1938, and received a high school diploma.

On July 1, 1938, she deregistered her apartment at Heiligenstädterstraße 5/5 (19th district of Vienna), where she had shared an apartment with Adela Romanowska, and returned to Zawiercie. Her further fate is unknown.
