The English version is based on a translation by artificial intelligence. The authentic version is the German one.

Lajos was the son of Koloman Reich (engineer). He was enrolled at the University for World Trade between the winter semester 1936/37 and the winter semester 1937/38. As his final exam, he took the first (general) exam in February 1938. Due to his Jewish ancestry, he was denied the opportunity to continue his studies after the 'Anschluss' of Austria. During his stay in Vienna, he was registered at Weimarer Straße 7/3/22 (18th district) - incidentally together with Ladislaus Grosz. On March 13, 1938, just one day after the Wehrmacht's invasion, he left Austria with an unknown destination. His further fate is unknown.

His name is inscribed on the memorial, which was unveiled on 8 May 2014 on the campus of the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
