Leopold Horensztejn was the son of Isydor Horensztejn (engineer). He was enrolled at the University for World Trade for three semesters between the winter semester 1936/37 and the winter semester 1937/38. The last examination he completed there was the First (general) examination; the Jewish student received a certificate for this on February 22, 1938.

During his studies, he lived at Nußdorferstraße 16/15 (9th district of Vienna). He deregistered from this apartment on March 16, 1938. Only four days after the invasion of the Wehrmacht into Austria, he returned to Poland. His further fate is unknown.
