Otto Feri was enrolled at the University for World Trade for three semesters between the winter semester of 1936/37 and the winter semester of 1937/38. He did not appear for an oral examination to which he had been admitted in mid-June 1938, despite his Jewish religious affiliation. Consequently, the recognition of the summer semester of 1938 was revoked. In February 1939, he vacated the apartment at Hörenstraße 12/2/10 (9th district of Vienna) and deregistered to London. He died in February 1968 in North Carolina (USA).

His brother Georg (born November 9, 1911, in Vienna), who lived with Otto at Hörenstraße, was not allowed to continue his chemistry studies at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Vienna, likely due to his 'Jewish ethnicity', despite the lack of religious affiliation noted in the national records of the University of Vienna.

Otto and Georg's father, the doctor Karl Feri (born December 8 or 9, 1879), was married to Dr. phil. Rosa Feri (born February 28, 1878). Karl Feri was awarded his doctorate in medicine at the University of Vienna in 1904 at the age of 21. He passed away at the age of 60 and was buried in Vienna on June 14, 1939.
