Zdzisław Lewi was a son of the engineer Mieczysław Lewi, who lived in Łódź in Piotrkowska 109. 

In Warsaw, Zdziław had attended a grammar school (‘Collegium’) before enrolling at the University for World Trade in Vienna. He was enrolled there for three semesters between the winter semester of 1936/37 and the winter semester of 1937/38. Being a Jew, he was deregistered on March 17, 1938, just a few days after the Wehrmacht's invasion of Austria. The academic work he presented for the First (general) examination was discarded. He did not receive a learning certificate.

On March 21, 1938, he deregistered his apartment at Pramergasse 21/1/10 (9th district of Vienna). He then returned to Poland. His further fate is unknown.
